Portfolio Introduction & Welcome
Welcome to my professional portfolio, a dynamic showcase of my growth, accomplishments, and leadership development throughout the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program in Interdisciplinary Leadership at Texas Lutheran University. This portfolio represents the culmination of years of dedicated study, research, and practice, and it is designed to highlight not only what I have learned, but also how I have applied this knowledge to create meaningful change in nursing education and clinical practice.
The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate to the TLU Doctoral Committee the depth of my academic achievements, professional experiences, and leadership journey. It brings together key milestones from my coursework, research, and professional practice — from developing innovative simulation scenarios and reimagining curriculum to advancing emotional intelligence and NCLEX readiness in nursing students. Each artifact reflects my commitment to transformational leadership, scholarly inquiry, and the preparation of bedside-ready, compassionate nurses.
Beyond serving as evidence of my work, this portfolio is a forward-looking document. It communicates my qualifications, skills, and potential to support career advancement, future leadership opportunities, and potential promotion or tenure considerations. By sharing my leadership philosophy, research findings, and educational initiatives, I aim to illustrate how I will continue contributing to nursing education, healthcare innovation, and student success well beyond the completion of my doctoral studies.
Thank you for reviewing this portfolio. It is my hope that its contents reflect not only my dedication to excellence and continuous improvement but also my passion for preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the challenges of an evolving healthcare environment.
